In the ever-evolving world of interior design, trends come and go, but some classic (ahem, grandmillennial) styles possess such charm that they stand the test of time. Among these is chintz, with vibrant floral patterns, making a dazzling comeback (but did it ever really go anywhere?) in home decor.

Originating in India, chintz dates back centuries, starting with hand-blocking on cotton fabric. European explorers were captivated, and it soon found its way to the Western world.

After a period of relative obscurity, chintz triumphantly returns to contemporary interior design as designers reimagine the pattern with a fresh perspective. Not only does it infuse a space with charm and warmth, but it’s incredibly versatile—it’s even finding its place in minimalist interiors.
