Easing into the New Year
If, like me, you’re starting to put away your holiday decorations and are craving a fresh, spring-like environment, you’re in the right place. I’ve rounded up some of the early seasonal finds that will still bring the comfortable, cozy feels to your home this winter, but will seamlessly transition to spring once the weather does start to warm up (counting down the days already!).
Laundry baskets and hampers are one of those items that we purchase and forget to refresh—so this is your reminder to check on one of the workhorses of your home! I’m partial to this particular laundry basket because it’s seagrass, which is a gorgeous material that fits most decor styles, is lightweight and airy. The lid and removable liner are also nice, functional touches.
When I found these chinoiserie-inspired pillows, I gasped—audibly. It felt like hitting the jackpot of throw pillows. Not only do these timeless, classic colors work in any season, but the feminine patterns add a touch of whimsy to a space.
Fellow design enthusiasts will recognize the name William Morris, and, apparently, Walmart is on it, too. This inexpensive print will liven up any wall with the classic pattern.
Another Walmart find, I bring you a fun plaid rug—perfect for Spring. The colors can pull together any neutral space and add a fresh new look to a room.
This woven urn vase could honestly work any time of the year, but immediately made my thoughts go to a spring mantle or table—imagine it filled with white hydrangeas or magnolias! It’s actually on a permanent reduction, so I’m not sure how long it’ll be around. Now’s the time to snag it if you’re interested!
